Be a Volunteer and Feel the Love.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at VCHS. To start, please call the shelter at 608-637-6955 to get an application mailed to you that you later return OR stop by the shelter at 1150 Nelson Parkway, Viroqua, WI, and fill out a volunteer application form. For driving directions, click here. You can also send us an email at email@example.com if you have questions. Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply.
We ask all volunteers to attend a quick volunteer orientation prior to volunteering. Our youth volunteers under the age of 18 must attend orientation with a legal guardian/parent. Youth volunteers 16 and older may then volunteer without supervision. Those under 16 must volunteer with their guardian or a responsible adult volunteer partner.
Orientations are held a few times per month and registration is needed. Each orientation last between 30-60 minutes based on the size of the group. Please call our office or stop in to reserve a seat at the next orientation!
For reference, our volunteer materials are posted here.

A HUGE thank you to Viroqua public schools for donating our cat name tags! These are being used and are a great addition to our public knowing the names of all our cats on the adoption floor.
