Hi, I'm Lady. I am an older gal that would love to lay at your feet and let you read to me. I am thinking I would like to be with adults; they take life slow and easy. Maybe you can teach me to play cards and shuffle board if you need another player. I like other dogs and people and would love to be a permanent part of your home. Please shuffle on in and take a gander at me when you can. |
See our new Cat Habitat!
Vernon County Humane Society was presented with a exciting, creative new cat habitat on Saturday, April 12, which was designed, constructed, and donated by Douglas Sharpless. The structure employs PVC culvert, composite decking boards, and nylon rope materials, and colorful toys. The three towers and connecting boards are designed to allow cats to snooze, play, climb, hide, explore, and sharpen claws! This view shows Yancy testing out one of the cozy beds, but doesn't show the entire structure. A very big thank you, and a warm round of applause and meows for Douglas!

We are launching a new annual award to recognize people who work to make their Vernon County neighborhoods better and safer places for companion animals. Do you know of someone like that? Please write an email or letter to VCHS to nominate this special individual for the award. Deadline is Jan. 31, 2009. Get address information. The award will be presented at the annual banquet.
